Product and origin

1. Where are the products made?

All products are manufactured in Hamburg, Germany.

The second hand ties come from many different brands, who produced them in different countries. The origin of the second hand tie is depending on the product. We do collect ties from Germany to avoid long shipping routes.

Care of my tie product

1. Can I wash it? How do I care for my tie product?

I recommend not washing your tie product. Similar to a blazer, the tie is made of different materials and has an insert on the inside that can shrink when washed. This would change the cut. It is also not recommended to put a tie in the washing machine. Neither spinning nor the actual washing is good for the product. For this reason, please choose dry cleaning. Your product does not necessarily have to be washed after every use. You can also hang it out in the fresh air after a visit to a restaurant, for example.

2. What do the washing symbols mean?

The icon that looks like a bucket of water instructs how to wash a garment. If you see the X please do not wash the product.

The square with a circle in the center instructs how to clean dry it.

3. Can I iron my tie product?

The iron symbol instructs how to iron it. If in doubt, use a lower temperature or not at all. Ties should never be ironed sharply on the fabric fold. An iron with one dot indicates low temperature ironing. Silk should never be ironed on a high temperature.

You should iron textiles made of chemical fibers (acetate, nylon, polyacrylic and polyamide) at this level if the garments have this symbol. This temperature is not enough to produce steam. Steam would also be too hot for the sensitive fabrics.

An iron with two points means medium temperature ironing. In many cases you can iron wool, mohair, cashmere, camel, alpaca and silk as well as more resistant chemical fibers such as polyester and viscose (if the manufacturer also specifies this) at this level. You can already use steam here. But I wouldn't overdo it with the still delicate fabrics.

How to open the button of my top

Use your thumb and forefinger to press one side (either the left or right side) of the closed button. Now hold the bottom and top parts of the snap fastener between your two fingers.

You then press both fingers together firmly and violà, the push button pops open automatically

Find the correct size

1. How do I measure my breast /chest?

Place the measuring tape around your upper body, making sure that it does not slip down. As you measure, make sure the tape measure is at the highest point of your breast/ chest.

For vegans

1. Are there any vegan products?

Some products can be vegan if the upper material is not made of silk. Silk is not vegan. A tie can also be made of polyester or acetate. These chemical fibers are vegan. However, it should be noted that the lining of the tie is often made of wool interlining.

When specifying the material, the manufacturers do not provide any information about the material composition of the inlay. For this reason, I cannot and give 100 percent certainty that the inlay on the inside of the tie is vegan.

1. What payment options do you offer?

You can pay with Paypal or by credit card.

1. Can I buy a gift card?

Yes! You can go to Home and scroll down to gift card or click here: gift card.

Please note that we do not refund gift cards. We will not pay out the remaining amount. You can choose a voucher of at minimum 25€. You can only redeem the voucher in our online shop, as we are not yet selling our items in local stores.

2. Can I buy a gift card and send it to mine or someone else’s email address?

Yes, it is possible. After payment has been received, you can download and print out your digital gift card or save it as an pdf per email transfer.

Shipping

1. How long does the shipping take?

We will ship your order within 1-2 business days. Usually you will receive your parcel in Germany within 1-2 business days after preparing your parcel. EU shipping takes up to 6 business days.

2. Which parcel service do you ship with?

We ship with DHL.

3. To which countries do you ship?

We do ship to all countries that belong to the European Union. Unfortunately we do not ship to: Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Andorra/UK/US or any other international shipping.

How long can I return my order?

After receiving your Kahl product you will have 30 business days to return your product.

What is your return policy?

We have a 30 days return policy. The Kahl item must be in a very good, unworn condition. The costs for the parcel cannot be covered by Kahl Studio.

Do I need to register my return online?

You need to send an email to info@kahlstudio.com to announce your return.
